Chef Evan Deluty Partners with Legendary Restaurant Group for One Week Pop-Up from Covid-Closed Boston Favorite Stella Restaurant


(Boston, MA) [December 8, 2020] - On Wednesday, December 16, 2020, Bostonians can expect the return of a favorite restaurant and chef. Stella recently shuttered its doors due to COVID-19 when Chef Even Deluty was forced to make the ultimate decision in regards to his long-time establishment serving diners' in the South End of Boston for 15 years. "It was one of the toughest things I ever had to do. As a business, Stella had been through so much and was truly part of the community here in Boston," said Deluty.
Bob Luz, CEO of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association, says we can see more of the same if restaurants don't get relief. Nearly one in four Massachusetts restaurants have closed since the initial statewide shutdown in March, says Luz.

"It's become a game of survival, but it's also become one of deepening relationships. Evan and I have been friends for a long time and he's a talented chef. I miss Stella and bringing it back is a good thing for us both. It gives fans of Stella a chance to have some of their favorites again, us the opportunity to introduce new guests to Sip Wine Bar + Kitchen and in all honesty anything to support restaurants, their workers and the industry as a whole is a win in my book," said Chris Damian, Chef and Co-Owner of Legendary Restaurant Group which includes Sip Wine Bar + Kitchen, Papagayo Restaurant, Burger Dive, and Aoki Sushi.

The Stella Restaurant Pop-Up will kick off Wednesday, December 16, 2020 and be serving Stella favorites through Sunday, December 20, 2020. All food will be available for dine-in and takeout. The Stella Menu is as follows:
